I'm quickly back but as I'm super busy so far I have no time to right long article.
Though I wanted to share with you this Italian- Belgian- Arabic and French movie about women, strike and sex...but it isn't as simple.
I'm kind of really busy lately but few words for the american-french movie about Iran: PERSEPOLIS.
Trough the eyes of Marjane, we will discover Iran in 1978 and then the Islamic Revolution.
This movie is inspired by the autobiographic comic of Marjane Satrapi.
If you like these kind of movies, watch Poulet aux prunes by the same directors. This is a beautiful one too.
Tonight, let me introduce you two wonderful women. No I'm not going to talk about me... But about two Saudi Arabian women. Well, one is more a girl actually.
Priority to kids.
The first one is the young actress of the recent movie WADJA.
Wadja is the name of the young heroin of the movie.
Wadja is a girl and she has one desire: riding a bike, riding her own bike... Easy ! Not really because in her country, girls are not allowed to ride. She is smart, she is genuine and she will fight to make her dream comes true.
She wears Converse as defiance and she doesn't fear to deal with men to make sure they will keep the famous bike for her.
The bike, it is the real symbol of the movie, it is the embodiment of freedom and discovering.
Wadja is ready to do everything to have this bike, even to sign off to her school's Koran repetition competition.
This movie is built like a fable, full of symbols and hope.
As for books, it is pretty true that you can discover someone by movies he watches.
Movies are an open door on the world, you can discover a new culture, a new country...despite being at home or dans les salles obscures. It is my really precious way to travel when I have no money or time to do it for real.
I've always been fascinating by directors, by directors who take risk to show us something different, who go out the beaten paths. Unfortunately, the huge cinema industry is not leaving them the freedom to do it. This is a shame as they are the highlights of the seventh art. At least, they are my highlights.
This week, I decided to talk about few persian and arabic movies.
Let's start with the Iranian gem of Asghar FARHADI: A SEPARATION.
This movie starts with a shot on two people. A couple...or just two people. Actually, they were one, they are going to learn to be two again.
They are in the judge office. This is time to divorce. Apparently, it seems like an easy one...but the reality is far beyond what we can see.
Here lays the talent of Asghar FARHADI. He doesn't judge, he doesn't give you easy answers but he raises a lot of questions.
This movie is between the movie and the documentary. He introduces us to the Iranian life, to people torn between modernity and tradition.
He broaches universal issues: how to deal with our erderlies, how to survive a separation, a weakness, a vicious spiral of lies.
When you watch a movie, you sometimes have the feeling that some actors don't fit properly the character they are supposed to play.
In A SEPARATION, Asghar FARHADI found his actors, they are the soul of the movie and they do it well. Distinction for the little kiddo, the little girl of the movie, you can feel she is lost in the mad world where adults live, you can feel her sadness, her joy.
Asghar FARHADI style is definitely uncluttured, pure, rough. It is never easy, you will feel uncomfortable many times and hours after watching this movie you will think about it.

Rain is still on and night is falling but I'm in a super good writing mood, a bit like "singing in the rain". So here is a second article, I decided to treat you tonight readers.
We just left Perth and we are flying to Dubai, just relax and enjoy.
Forget about Dubai shiny cars and huge malls, Dubai has heaps more to offer.
Open your hearts, your mind and discover, you will find great places there, meet interesting people and taste food from all around the world.
This real Turkish restaurant is probably my favorite one in Dubai, simple, welcoming, cheap, tasty all in one the best for me. Trust me on quality, in 3 months, I've been there at least 25 times and I've never been disappointed.
It really tastes like Turkey, not a tourist place, just an authentic Turkish charm.
The menu is simple but here are the essentials : salads, soups, Turkish pide, grilled meat, Iskender and off course Turkish tea and coffee.
A Turkish meal wouldn't be complete without an ayran, you can enjoy your meal with a glass of it here.
I tried almost all excepted the tripe soup: Iskembe Corbasi. I have to admit I wasn't adventurous there. (I hear you guys from here talking about French eating frogs legs and snails, yes, it is as weird as tripe soup... but we don't really eat frogs legs, peeps, this is a cliché. Some of these clichés are true though: oh bloody complaining Frenchies, yes this is so right ! But off topic)
My heart always falls for their tasty Iskender with a lot of yoghurt:
This restaurant is really good as well for the service. This is fast and the waiters are all smily and helpful. The icing on the cake (the syrup on the baklava, hehe ! ) they welcome you in Turkish, you can't speak Turkish, of course, they do it in English and Arabic too.
My heart-stopper is the view on the kitchen, it is fascinating to see them cooking and baking the bread as well.
In the morning (I don't remember but I think it is only on the WE) you can enjoy their breakfast Turkish style too.
Pop in at lunch time for a shawarma roll, you will love it.
Despite being a sweet tooth, I didn't try their baklavas. Turkish sweets reached my sugar limits...though I would never say no to a tasty loukoum.
Don't forget to finish your meal with a hot Turkish tea or coffee... and read the future in the coffee grounds.

I'm still wondering if love is really sweet but this isn't the aim of this text, the heroes here are coffees, juices and smiles.
"Summer has come and passed..." Peeps, sun is gone here in France and I decided that my blog is coming back to life. Rain is creating a lovely music on my window and therefore I'm going to spend more time in from of my computer.
As my friends are spread all around the world I decided to start to write in English. And as this text is about an amazing place in Oz, well a text in English is only a fair reward to this country that welcomed me so warmly.
Mates, English isn't my mother tongue so sorry for my mistakes and don't hesitate to write a comment to help me to improve.

Anyway, after asking all my colleagues and friends, I was hopeless to find my heaven. Though, one day my dear Ashley joined me for lunch with a yummy fresh spring roll. This stired up my foodie curiosity. This is the first time I've heard about WOOGI.
Few days after, I enter this lovely coffee. I've been welcomed by awesome Frank and his warm smile. I tried a watermelon, strawberries and mint juice and I've been captivated since.
Then day after day, I spend few precious dollars there, trying the freshness and enjoying the great atmosphere of the place. Even few times a day sometimes, these juices are pretty addictives.
Try them with a muffin, you won't regret it...your bum will, maybe...but never your palate. Thinking about it, I'm craving a banana and macadamia nuts one right now. Life is too short to be fat free, right?
I'm unstoppable of juices but I'm writing about WOOGI mostly for my Aussies mates so I really need to tell you about WOOGI coffees.
Australians and coffees have started a love story with coffees few years ago...not quick, small cup of Italian espresso, no...Huge cups of "Latte", "Macchiato", "Flat White", "Cappucino"... Unlimited list probably, with all the possibilities offered to you, I guess you can drink a different one each day of a year.
" with soja milk", "skim milk with no sugar", "dark but with milk on the side", "only with a dash of cream", "could you please add some marshmallows", "skim milk, no sugar but sweetneer and a big muffin" Well, a barista nightmare, right?
Talking about baristas, WOOGI has some great ones. Perth is full of coffees places, easy to find one but difficult to find a GOOD TASTY one.
I've heard lot of good things about coffees at WOOGI so just go and try.
If disappointed? WOOGI would offer it to you. GREAT COFFEE or IT IS FREE.
Woogi is not only a fantastic place, it is also a human one. I'm of course talking about SUSPENDED COFFEE here.

Un lieu qui associerait mon amour pour la côte ouest australienne et pour le ciel, j'en ai rêvé, Gavin l'a fait.

A quelques kilomètres d'Exmouth (WA), Gav vous accueille pour un voyage inoubliable.
Gav a crée Birds Eye View, un endroit unique qui vous permettra de découvrir le "Ningaloo Reef" et la côté d'Exmouth à bord d'un microlight.
Il vous parle de sa passion les yeux brillants de plaisir avec cette magie qui habite ceux qui gardent les pieds sur terre mais la tête dans les étoiles. Sa bonne humeur est communicative et vous attire comme un magnet.

Il vous prendra l'envie de découvrir le monde à ses cotés lors qu'il vous fera découvrir son engin hybride, made at home, un savant assemblage entre un microlight et un zodiac.
J'avais lu, il y a peu que "voler est envoutant et tous les pilotes sont des victimes consentantes", avec Gav à la barre vous ne désirer qu'une chose faire vous aussi partie de ces victimes consentantes.
J'ai longtemps réfléchi à la façon de lancer ce nouveau blog, une citation, une photo, un pays. Et après tout, je me suis dit qu'il ne fallait mieux ne pas choisir, y mettre un peu de tout ça, de ces jolies choses qui me boostent et me permettent chaque jour de sourire. Puis spontanéement; l'idée est venue à moi. Ce qui me poussait à voyager toujours plus, c'était les rencontres, celles qui m'émeuvent, me changent, me bousculent, me déçoivent parfois ... mais surtout celles qui me font vibrer et me font me sentir vivante.
J'avais pensé commencer par un billet sur l'Australie, mon premier vrai voyage, le voyage qui a tout changé, celui qui m'a rendu accro. Et puis, il y a eu Mas et il était tellement vivant que c'est lui que j'ai eu envie de vous faire découvrir.
J'ai interviewé Mas il y a quelques semaines pour mon amie Charlotte qui tient le fabuleux blog L'insatiable.

2. Avant vous étiez… et aujourd’hui vous êtes…
Avant, j’étais conducteur de train pendant cinq ans. Une personne dépendante comme toutes les autres, juste un autre numéro.
Diplômé en aéronautique, voler a toujours été ma passion.
J’ai décidé de changer de vie (in skydiving, we say « made a cute away ») car je n’ennuyais dans ma vie.
Je ne peux plus suivre ce que la société m’impose. (travaille, épargne, achète une maison, crée une famille…) Je ne dis pas que tout cela est faux et vide de sens, ce n’est tout simplement pas moi, pas la vie que je souhaite.
Aujourd’hui je suis parachutiste, un parachutiste apprécié à travers le monde.
Je travaille dans l’un des meilleurs endroits au monde pour le skydiving : Dubaï, la mecque du skydiving, THE REAL ACADEMY of SKYDIVING.
J’ai voyagé dans le monde pendant deux ans, j’ai voyagé et découvert : l’Australie, la Russie, l’Afrique du Sud, les Etats-Unis, l’Espagne, le Liban, la Jordanie et l’Allemagne.
3. Quel a été l’élément déclencheur ?
J’ai lu un livre.
Dans ce livre, l’auteur décrit la vie comme un voyage en train (noteworthy, I was a train driver) : « La vie est comme un train, le train suit les rails et il s’arrête dans chaque gare. Le train est notre vie et chaque gare correspond à nos buts et ces buts sont créés par la société, influencés par notre culture : naître, étudier, réussir, avoir son diplôme, trouver un travail, acheter une maison, rencontrer quelqu’un, dépenser, consommer, se marier, avoir un enfant…Nous ne pouvons pas changer de route, de direction, nous pouvons simplement accélérer ou ralentir notre train.
Pour changer, nous devons sauter en cours de route et essayer de survivre. »
C’est peut-être une bonne décision ou pas, mais ce qui est sûr c’est que j’ai choisi ma vie.
Voilà, c’est pour ça que j’ai choisi de sauter.
4. Depuis quand murissiez-vous ce projet ? Quel a été le délai avant de le mettre à exécution ?
Comme je l’ai dit, voler est ma passion depuis l’enfance.
Patrick de Gayardon m’a aidé à rêver pendant longtemps avec son extraordinaire notoriété.
En 2006, j’ai décidé de voler moi-même et pour la première fois, j’ai fait un saut en tandem.
Après ce saut, j’ai compris que le ciel était quelque chose de vraiment important pour moi et j’ai travaillé de toutes mes forces pour changer mon style de vie et mon état d’esprit.
Il m’a fallu 4 ans pour devenir celui que je suis aujourd’hui.
5. Votre formation ou vos expériences précédentes sont-elles proches de votre travail actuel ? Si elles sont totalement différentes, quels sont les atouts que vous retirez de votre cursus ?
Non, ma formation n’est pas proche de mon travail actuel. J’ai étudié l’Histoire et malheureusement cela ne m’a pas aidé dans ma skydive life.
Mon dernier emploi m’a probablement aidé à me trouver : beaucoup de temps seul, beaucoup de temps pour réfléchir et également la responsabilité dont je devais faire preuve envers les passagers.
Tout cela m’a aidé à trouver ma nouvelle voie et à vivre selon mes inspirations.
6. Qu’est ce qui compte le plus : le culot, l’expérience ou les études ?
Les trois sont importants.
L’audace était importante et essentielle pour totalement changer de vie (make a cute away). Sans l’audace, il m’aurait été impossible de changer de vie.
L’expérience et les études comptent pour tout ce qui concerne la vie en général, la relation avec autrui et avec ses collègues.
7. La qualité essentielle pour la réussite du projet
La persévérance et l’obstination.
J’ai vécu deux ans dans une caravane pour épargner ce que je gagnais pour le skydiving, et quand j’ai commencé ma nouvelle vie professionnelle, mon dîner se résumait souvent à une boîte de thon.
8. La question indispensable qu’il faut se poser (et à laquelle il faut avoir répondu pour se lancer dans cette aventure ?)
POURQUOI JE CHANGE DE VIE ?
Et la réponse était facile, évidente : Rien ne me procure autant d’émotions que "mon" ciel.
9. Si vous deviez regretter une chose
J’étais vraiment concentré sur ma skydiving life et j’ai perdu beaucoup d’amis, et ma première petite amie.
C’est n’est pas vraiment un regret, just a complain.
10. Vous sentez vous aujourd’hui pleinement épanoui et à votre place ?
Oui, ABSOLUMENT, oui !
11. Si un seul conseil devait être donné, ce serait…
Suivez vos rêves, follow your soul.
J’étais un autre numéro, je n’étais personne au milieu des autres. J’ai changé de vie et aujourd’hui, je me sens heureux, avec quelque chose à offrir au monde.
Et AIME, aime chaque instant car chaque jour est un miracle, c’est seulement en aimant et en nous aimant que nous pouvons rendre les personnes autour de nous heureuses.
12. Le mot de la fin…
BE HAPPY
SOIT HEUREUX, chaque instant, chaque seconde.
Le monde va mal car les gens sont trop tristes.
La seule chose est d’être heureux et d’offrir des sourires à chacun.
